Take the ‘green’ train: SW Euro candidates attend first ever Green European Summer University

South West Green Party lead candidates for the 2009 European Elections, Cllr Ricky Knight and Cllr Roger Creagh-Osborne, are this week travelling to the German city of Frankfurt-an-der-Oder, on the border with Poland, for a three day conference organised by the Green Group of the European Parliament.

SW Greens condemn creeping NHS privatisation

Today the NHS reaches its 60th birthday. It's not yet ready for retirement, but its worn-out bits are increasingly being sold-off rather than replaced. The South West Green Party has called for the drive for private profit to be kicked out of the structure for local NHS services.
