Thinking about joining us?

New members are always welcome! That doesn't mean you have to get involved and come to meetings (though that would be great!). Simply by joining, you are already helping to boost our profile locally and get more Greens elected onto local councils. When you join the national Party, you automatically become a member of our local East Devon branch and a proportion of your subscription fee comes to us. That gives us the security we need to campaign and contest elections at every level.

Unlike other parties, the Green Party doesn't get donations from big corporations and unions, but depends on support from its members. It's really easy to join: you can do it online via http://join.greenparty.org.uk/membership/index.html, over the phone, or I can post you a membership form if you prefer. You can set up a direct debit for as little as £2.60 a month, and if you're unwaged or on a low income it will only cost you £10.50 a year. In return, you receive the quarterly Green World magazine and members' newsletter to keep you up to date with campaigns and events. If you have any queries about joining, please contact me on 01395 579353 or sharon.howe@talktalk.net

I look forward to hearing from you!

EAST DEVON YOUNG GREENS

Oscar Pearson

Hi,  I’m Oscar and I am the Young Greens Coordinator for the East Devon Green Party. I joined the Green Party as I wanted to become more involved in local politics, and issues which will affect my future. Because several matters like global warming and problems in the jobs market will influence my generation in just a few years, I would like to start a Young Greens group in East Devon. This will be for anyone under the age of 30 who wants to become more involved, and, in the long run, create a better future here in East Devon.

If you would like to become a Young Green or to find out more, contact: eastdevongreens@googlemail.com
