Gloucestershire County Council election 2009
The Green Party gained its first ever County councillor for Gloucestershire County Council in the election on 4 June 2009.
Sarah Lunnon was elected councillor for Stroud East after polling 41.7% of the vote, ahead of the defending Labour councillor. The party's 30 other candidates also polled highly across the rest of the county.
