Molly Scott Cato

Molly Scott Cato Molly Scott Cato works as a green economist, seeking to develop a sustainable and just economy. She is a Reader in Green Economics at Cardiff School of Management and Director of the Welsh Institute for Research into Cooperatives. Her doctoral research into the labour-market in the Welsh Valleys was published by the University of Wales Press and more recently she wrote Market, Schmarket: Building the Post-Capitalist Economy.

Molly is an active member of the Green Party, standing for election at all levels and currently speaking for the Party on economic issues. She has also undertaken commissioned research including a report for the Association of Green Councillors on the subject of Using Best Value to Encourage Green Procurement in Local Authorities. Molly is a member of the core group of Transition Stroud and co-ordinates its Lifestyles and Livelihoods working group. She is also on the core group of Stroud Community Agriculture and is a Director of Stroud Common Wealth.
