Richard Lawson
Dr Richard Lawson is a semi-retired GP in North Somerset who was one of the first Greens elected to local authorities, serving six years undefeated. He is a past Principal Speaker and Health Speaker for the Green Party, and has served on the International Committee, where he pressed for the UN to purchase the Afghan opium crop to put it to medical use. Richard is also a contact for the Campaign for an Index of Human Rights in the UN. He is an inventor, a poet, and his hobby is green woodwork and gardening. Married, with three children, he lives in the Mendip Hills.
