West Devon Green Party

The West Devon Green Party is active in the area covered by West Devon Borough Council. It campaigns on local, national and international issues and stands candidates in local and general elections.

The Green Party’s Vision for West Devon is for all levels of government to work towards:

• Well-run public services, working with and for local communities.

• A robust local economy, based on local provision for local needs, and sustainable production methods - including organic farming.

• An integrated transport system which enables people to get around by bus, bicycle or foot more cheaply, safely and conveniently.

• Good quality, affordable, energy-efficient housing, close to all essential community facilities.

• Clean streets, clean air, and a countryside full of wildlife.

• Properly funded schools, enabling all children to receive a good education at their nearest school.

• Thriving local cultural centres, public services and health facilities � accessible to everyone, and protected from cuts and closures.

• Strong communities - where people of all ages, ethnic origins and abilities respect and support each other.
